Week 4:

Task: Quality Control Checks and Delivery

Objective: Ensure that all print materials meet SayPro’s standards of quality before they are dispatched for delivery.


1. Initial Assessment of Print Materials:

  • Review Print Specifications: Ensure that the print materials conform to the agreed-upon specifications, including size, format, and layout.
  • Check for Resolution: Confirm that all visual elements (images, logos, graphics) are at high resolution (300 DPI or higher) to ensure clarity and vibrancy when printed.
  • Color Calibration: Check for color consistency across different print materials to maintain the brand’s visual identity. Make sure the colors match the approved samples or Pantone references.
  • Paper Quality: Inspect the paper stock to ensure it meets the required standards for texture, weight, and finish. This includes checking for any imperfections or defects in the material (e.g., creases, color bleeding, or uneven cuts).

2. Final Proofing Process:

  • Proofread Text: Perform a thorough proofread of all text on the printed materials to ensure there are no typographical errors, incorrect information, or formatting issues.
  • Layout Review: Double-check the layout for alignment, margins, and consistency. Ensure that the visual hierarchy (headings, subheadings, body text) is correctly applied.
  • Logo and Branding Review: Ensure that the SayPro logo, slogans, and any other branding elements are used consistently and according to brand guidelines.

3. Compliance with Standards:

  • SayPro Standards Compliance: Verify that the print materials meet SayPro’s branding and design standards, including the proper use of fonts, logo placement, and color schemes.

  • Small Batch Test Print: Conduct a test run of a small batch of print materials to check for any potential issues in the final output, such as color misalignment or poor print quality.
  • Inspect Test Prints: Review the test prints in detail and address any issues before proceeding to the full print run.

5. Final Quality Assurance (QA) Check:

  • Visual Inspection: Perform a visual inspection of the entire batch to detect any defects or inconsistencies.
