Position Overview: The Material Preparation and Installation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of materials used in the production and installation process. This role involves two key areas: Material Preparation and Installation, and it is essential to double-check materials for defects while ensuring they meet the specifications provided by the design team. The individual in this role will also be responsible for ensuring professional, timely, and effective installation of materials, adhering to SayPro standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Preparation:

• Quality Assurance: Double-check all materials to ensure they are free from defects, damage, or imperfections. This includes visual inspections and functional checks.
• Specifications Compliance: Cross-reference materials with the specifications provided by the design team in the SayPro Monthly January SCMR. Ensure all materials are aligned with the required design standards and measurements.
• Inventory Management: Ensure that all necessary materials are available before installation and are handled according to proper inventory management practices.
• Documentation: Maintain records of material checks, including any identified defects, their resolution, and materials that have been passed for installation. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
• Defective Material Handling: Coordinate with the procurement team to replace or return defective materials in a timely manner.

Installation:

• Preparation for Installation: Ensure all necessary materials, tools, and equipment are gathered and ready for installation according to the design and project requirements.
• Installation Process: Execute the installation of materials as per SayPro’s professional standards, ensuring the final output is both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
• Quality Control During Installation: Check all installed materials during the process for defects or misalignments. Address any issues immediately to avoid rework and delays.
• Time Management: Ensure that all installation tasks are completed within the prescribed timeline and that the installation is done with a high level of professionalism.
• Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with other departments such as the design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure that the installation process aligns with the overall project vision and customer expectations.
• Adherence to Safety Standards: Ensure that all installation activities comply with safety standards and protocols, both for the workers and the surrounding environment.

Communication:

• Team Collaboration: Effectively communicate with the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR, design team, and material suppliers to ensure smooth and coordinated project execution.
• Feedback Loop: Provide constructive feedback to the design and procurement teams on any issues encountered with materials or installations to improve future operations.

Performance Metrics:

• Material Quality: No defects or discrepancies found in materials post-preparation.
• Installation Timeliness: Meet deadlines for each installation project.
• Customer Satisfaction: High customer satisfaction scores based on professional installation and material quality.
• Compliance with Specifications: Full adherence to design and material specifications outlined by the SayPro Monthly January SCMR.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications related to material preparation or installation preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a construction or manufacturing setting.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for quality control.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical specifications and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
