This serves to inform you that the Lekgotla la ME Board Committee, as per the constitution:
Section 3 on Income and Property
3.2. The organisation may lend any of its money or property to its members or office bearers. The only time it can do this is to pay the members for the work that the members have done for the organization. The payment must be reasonable for the work that has been done.
3.3. A member of the organization can only get money back for the expenses he or she has paid for the organization.
In summarizing and confirmation, it is confirmed that all Lekgotla la ME Committee members. Especially non-salaried or who are not employees of the company shall be paid the same Stipend this is to cover for their well being.
The treasurer and the deputy treasurer supported by the entire committee have the responsibility to source funds to be able to cover the costs related to the expenses of the Lekgotla la ME Committee.
An example of the package should be:
1. Daily Transport to and from the Lekgotla la ME Office fees
2. Internet and Telephone Costs covered to attend virtual meetings and to arrange logistics
3. Their soap to cover their hygiene such as Cleaniness, Clothing, and Medical Wellbeing.
Lekgotla la ME Board Committee is entitled to the following benefits:
1. Medical Aid
2. Performance Bonus
3. UIF and PAYE once payments reach threshold
4. Awards
5. Travel Allowances
6. Refreshments.
In conclusion
All Lekgotla la ME Board Committee will be compensated the same amount.
No additional amount will be covered for staff who are fully employed.
As informed, the treasurer must ensure that they raise enough capital to cover the costs as specified above.
