Speech by the SayPro Royal Committee Deputy Chairperson : Sapapi Johannes Mputla

Your Excellencies, Distinguished Guests, SayPro Leadership, Partners, Community Members, Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good morning, bonjour, and welcome to this landmark occasion: SayProCMR SayPro 2025 Digital Day.

It is both an honour and a responsibility to stand before you today, representing the SayPro Royal Committee, as we celebrate a movement that transcends technology and reaches deep into the heart of our shared humanity.

Today, we are not just launching programs or showcasing achievements. We are writing a new chapter in Africa’s digital future—one that is inclusive, community-driven, and unapologetically African.

Honoring Our Heritage, Leading with Innovation

As Deputy Chairperson of the SayPro Royal Committee, I am deeply aware of our role: to guide SayPro’s mission with integrity, cultural wisdom, and a vision that honors our traditions while embracing the promise of the future.

Our ancestors taught us to lead with purpose, to care for our people, and to invest in generations to come. These teachings are alive today in the work of SayProCMR.

With each digital course delivered in a remote village, with every youth trained in new technology, and every woman empowered to start a business—we honor that legacy.

SayProCMR: A Model of Local Leadership

SayProCMR is more than a digital initiative. It is a testament to what’s possible when local leadership, traditional knowledge, and modern innovation come together.

In 2025, we have witnessed:

• The rise of SayPro Youth Leaders shaping digital awareness in their communities,
• The development of mobile learning tools translated into local languages,
• And a strong collaboration between traditional leaders and digital experts, building trust and driving transformation from within.

This is the African model. It is inclusive. It is dignified. And it is ours.

The Role of the Royal Committee

Our committee plays a unique and essential role—bridging the digital future with ancestral wisdom. We ensure SayPro’s work is:

• Rooted in community values,
• Respectful of local customs, and
• Built for sustainability, not short-term impact.

We remind the world that digital progress must never come at the cost of identity. Instead, we must let our identity shape our progress.

To Our Youth, Our Women, Our Leaders

To the young people of Cameroon and Africa — you are the heartbeat of this revolution. Embrace the tools, claim your future, and carry forward our culture with pride.

To the women — you are no longer just the backbone of our communities. You are also the architects of our digital economies. SayPro stands with you.

To our elders and traditional leaders — your wisdom remains essential. In this new era, you are not being left behind. You are being invited to lead in new and powerful ways.

Let Digital Day 2025 remind us that technology without humanity is hollow. And development without inclusion is incomplete.
