This Internship Contract (“Contract”) is entered into between:

(Hereinafter referred to as the “Intern”).
3. Purpose of the Internship
The purpose of this internship is to provide the Intern with hands-on workplace experience related to their field of study while contributing to SayPro’s operational and strategic goals.
The Intern understands that this internship does not guarantee permanent employment at SayPro after completion.
4. Duration of Internship
The internship shall be for a fixed period of 12 months, starting on [Start Date] and ending on [End Date], unless terminated earlier as per the terms of this Contract.
5. Stipend and Benefits
- The Intern shall receive a monthly stipend of [Specify amount], payable on the last working day of each month.
- The stipend shall be subject to tax deductions as per South African law.
- The Intern is not eligible for medical aid, pension benefits, or any other employee benefits.
6. Roles and Responsibilities
Intern Responsibilities
- Actively participate in all assigned work tasks, projects, and training programs.
- Adhere to SayPro’s policies, workplace rules, and ethical standards.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding SayPro’s business operations.
- Complete all required reports and evaluations related to the internship program.
Employer Responsibilities
- Provide structured training, mentorship, and supervision throughout the internship.
- Assign tasks relevant to the Intern’s field of study and career development.
- Offer regular feedback and evaluations.
- Recruitment and Onboarding (Quarterly & Monthly)
- Promote volunteer opportunities through social media, websites, and community networks.
- Process and review incoming volunteer applications.
- Conduct interviews and assessments for volunteer suitability.
- Deliver initial training and onboarding orientation to new volunteers.
- Training and Development (Quarterly & Monthly)
- Conduct skills assessments to determine training needs.
- Design and deliver relevant training programs and materials.
- Provide continuous learning and development support for volunteers.
- Scheduling and Coordination (Quarterly & Monthly)
- Plan and manage volunteer shifts and availability.
- Assign appropriate tasks and duties.
- Facilitate ongoing communication between volunteers and staff.
- Performance Management (Quarterly & Monthly)
- Provide consistent feedback and conduct volunteer performance evaluations.
- Implement recognition initiatives to appreciate volunteer efforts.
- Resolve conflicts and maintain a positive team dynamic.
- Data Management (Quarterly & Monthly)
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer details, hours, and activities.
- Compile and generate monthly and quarterly activity reports.
- Ensure all activities comply with organizational and legal standards.
- Communication and Engagement (Quarterly & Monthly)
- Prepare and send regular newsletters and updates to volunteers.
- Coordinate events, workshops, and volunteer appreciation activities.
- Distribute surveys to capture volunteer feedback and improve programs.
7. Working Hours
- The Intern shall work [Specify working hours, e.g., 08:00 – 17:00], Monday to Friday, with a lunch break of [Specify break duration].
- Overtime is not expected but may be required for urgent business needs.
8. Leave Entitlement
- The Intern is entitled to [Specify number] days of annual leave over the 12-month period.
- The Intern is entitled to sick leave in accordance with South African labor laws.
- All leave requests must be submitted in advance for approval.
9. Termination of Internship
This Contract may be terminated by:
- Completion of the internship program.
- Mutual agreement between both parties.
- Failure of the Intern to comply with training requirements.
- Misconduct, absenteeism, or poor performance, which may lead to dismissal.
- Breach of confidentiality or violation of SayPro’s policies.

10. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property
- The Intern shall not disclose any confidential information obtained during the internship.
- Any intellectual property created during the internship remains the property of SayPro.
11. Performance Evaluation
- The Intern will be assessed at regular intervals based on their work performance, learning progress, and adherence to workplace policies.
- A final performance report will be provided at the end of the internship.
12. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from this Contract shall first be resolved through SayPro’s internal dispute resolution process before legal action is considered.
13. Entire Agreement
This Contract constitutes the full understanding between SayPro and the Intern. Any amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties.
14. Governing Law
This Contract shall be governed by the labor laws and internship regulations of South Africa.
