SayPro Empowers NPO Leaders at Capacity Building Training Programme

Centurion, South Africa — On a mission to equip nonprofit organisations with the tools to lead change effectively, SayPro (Southern Africa Youth Project) hosted a dynamic Capacity Building Training for NPOs Programme at its headquarters on 19 Pitta Street, Rooihuiskraal, Centurion. The event brought together leaders, volunteers, and changemakers from across the region to learn, collaborate, and build sustainable strategies for social impact.
In his keynote address, SayPro CEO Neftaly Malatjie delivered a powerful message of self-empowerment and continuous learning. “Let’s teach ourselves to learn and grow ourselves. We have online platforms to learn,” said Malatjie. He stressed the importance of self-initiative in professional development, especially in the nonprofit space where resources are often limited.
The training programme focused on practical topics such as:
- Financial sustainability and grant writing
- Digital tools for remote work and fundraising
- Governance and compliance for NPOs
- Monitoring and evaluation best practices
Participants had the opportunity to engage in interactive sessions, network with peers, and gain access to SayPro’s growing library of online resources. The event was designed to empower nonprofit leaders to not only survive but thrive in an ever-changing social landscape.
Malatjie highlighted that SayPro is committed to creating platforms where young leaders and NPOs can access world-class training and mentorship, especially through its expanding e-learning platform. “It’s no longer about waiting for someone to teach you,” he said. “We must use what we have—our phones, the internet, our drive—to become better leaders.”
The success of the event underscored SayPro’s role as a leader in youth development and nonprofit support across Southern Africa. As the organisation continues its work, it remains a catalyst for innovation and empowerment in communities that need it most.
