This Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Internship Contract (“Contract”) is entered into between:

3. Purpose of the Internship

The purpose of this Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Internship is to:

  • Provide the Intern with practical workplace experience aligned with their academic program.
  • Equip the Intern with industry-related skills, technical knowledge, and hands-on experience.
  • Satisfy university graduation requirements where applicable.

The Intern acknowledges that this internship:

  • Is for a fixed term of 12 months.
  • Does not guarantee permanent employment at SayPro after completion.

4. Duration of Internship

  • This internship will run for 12 months, commencing on [Start Date] and ending on [End Date].
  • Any extension beyond this period must be agreed upon in writing.

5. Nature of the Internship

  • The internship is structured for learning and professional development.
  • The Intern shall work under supervision and mentorship from SayPro professionals.
  • The internship may be paid or unpaid, depending on SayPro’s policies and agreement with the Intern.

6. Roles and Responsibilities

Intern Responsibilities

The Intern agrees to:

  • Fully participate in the program and complete assigned tasks.
  • Follow SayPro’s policies and workplace guidelines.
  • Submit required progress reports or evaluations as per university guidelines.
  • Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality in all activities.
  • Comply with workplace health, safety, and ethical standards.
  • Policy Review & Compliance Monitoring
  • Assist in monthly and quarterly policy reviews and updates
  • Help conduct compliance checks and audits across departments
  • Collect and consolidate feedback from internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor adherence to updated policies and create status reports
  • Legal & Regulatory Alignment
  • Track regulatory and legislative changes relevant to SayPro
  • Participate in aligning SayPro policies with government, GDPR, and legal standards
  • Draft and prepare compliance reports for internal and external review
  • Policy Research & Development
  • Conduct research on trends, best practices, and innovations in governance
  • Draft and revise policy documents, frameworks, and policy briefs
  • Analyse findings and integrate them into SayPro’s operational policies
  • Help facilitate policy testing and pilot programs
  • Organisational & Governance Policies
  • Support the development of policies related to:
    • AGMs, Board & Staff Meetings, Lekgotla la ME
    • Education, Clients, Marketing, Religion, Development
  • Manage documentation, meeting minutes, and outcome reporting
  • Assess the effectiveness and strategic alignment of each policy area

Employer Responsibilities

SayPro agrees to:

  • Provide structured mentorship and supervision.
  • Assign work relevant to the Intern’s field of study.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and feedback sessions.
  • Issue an internship completion certificate upon successful completion.

7. Working Hours

  • The Intern shall work [Specify working hours, e.g., 08:00 – 17:00], Monday to Friday, with a lunch break of [Specify break duration].
  • Overtime is not required but may be agreed upon for specific projects.

8. Leave Entitlement

  • The Intern is entitled to [Specify number] days of leave over the 12-month period.

  • All leave requests must be submitted in advance for approval.

9. Termination of Internship

This Contract may be terminated:

  • Upon completion of the internship period.

  • If the Intern fails to meet performance or training requirements.
  • If the Intern violates company policies or engages in misconduct.
  • If the Intern fails to maintain confidentiality or professional behavior.

10. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property

  • The Intern shall not disclose any confidential information obtained during the internship.

  • final assessment will be conducted at the end of the internship.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from this Contract shall first be addressed through SayPro’s internal dispute resolution process before any legal action is considered.


13. Governing Law

This Contract shall be governed by the labor laws and internship regulations of South Africa.


14. Entire Agreement

This Contract represents the full agreement between SayPro and the Intern. Any amendments must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
