Director: Graduate Internship and Learning Development

Oversees the entire internship programme under SayProEducationKraal. Leads policy development, strategic partnerships with universities, and alignment with SayPro’s education goals.


1. Programme Management Unit

Programme Manager: Graduate Internship Development

Coordinates day-to-day management, supervision, planning, and assessment of internship activities.

  • Internship Coordination Officer (x2) Assign interns to departments, liaise with mentors, track progress, and handle placements.
  • University Liaison & Outreach Officer Builds partnerships with universities, coordinates MoUs, promotes SayPro programmes.

2. Training & Development Unit

Training and Capacity Building Specialist

Designs learning pathways, workshops, and induction programs for interns.

  • Skills Development Facilitator Facilitates practical training, professional development, and mentorship activities.
  • eLearning & Digital Skills Coordinator Manages online training systems, platforms, and digital literacy support.

3. Monitoring, Evaluation & Support Unit

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer

Tracks intern performance, project outputs, and programme success metrics.

  • Internship Data & Records Administrator Maintains all internship records, attendance, completion rates, and reports.
  • Feedback & Support Officer Handles intern support, feedback collection, and conflict resolution.

4. Compliance & Placement Unit

Compliance and HR Support Officer

Ensures policies are followed, contracts signed, and legal standards maintained.

  • Placement and Onboarding Specialist Manages initial onboarding, department placements, and host supervisor matching.
  • Exit Strategy & Employment Transition Officer Prepares interns for post-internship transition, job hunting, and career coaching.

5. Administrative Support & Logistics

Administrative Assistant

Supports scheduling, document processing, and internal communication.

  • Logistics Coordinator Manages workspace assignments, IT access, materials, and intern resources.

6. Intern Cohorts

Graduate Interns (Cohorts 1, 2, 3, etc.)

Interns actively participating in the SayPro Internship Programme, assigned across SayPro departments and projects.


Reporting & Communication Flow

  • All Units report to the Programme Manager.
  • The Programme Manager reports to the Director: Graduate Internship and Learning Development.
  • The Director sits on the SayProEducationKraal Executive Board.
