Chairperson

  • Provides overall leadership and strategic direction to the committee.
  • Ensures the committee’s objectives align with SayPro’s mission and values.
  • Oversees the evaluation of major risks and reports to the Board.

Vice Chairperson

  • Supports the Chairperson and steps in when needed.
  • Leads subcommittees or working groups as directed.
  • Assists in the implementation of risk management strategies.

Committee Members (Risk Experts)

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on risk management.
  • Contribute to identifying, analyzing, and assessing risks.
  • Collaborate on developing risk mitigation strategies and action plans.

Risk Management Officer

  • Serves as the point of contact for day-to-day risk management activities.
  • Works to implement risk management policies and practices.
  • Conducts regular risk assessments and monitors risk-related developments.

Legal and Compliance Officer

  • Ensures that all risk management strategies comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides legal insights related to risk mitigation strategies.
  • Helps in the creation of risk-related policies and procedures.

Financial Risk Advisor

  • Assesses financial risks and provides advice on economic stability and growth.
  • Reviews budgets and financial plans to mitigate financial uncertainties.
  • Ensures that SayPro’s financial operations are safeguarded from risks.

Operational Risk Advisor

  • Focuses on operational risks such as supply chain disruptions, project failures, or technological issues.
  • Advises on process improvements to reduce operational risks.
  • Ensures the continuity of key operational functions.

Cybersecurity and Data Protection Officer

  • Monitors and advises on cyber risks, including data breaches, cybersecurity threats, and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Ensures risk management strategies incorporate the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices.

External Risk Consultant (Optional)

  • Provides an independent, external perspective on risk management.
  • Assists the committee in assessing emerging risks and offers recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensures the committee remains aware of global and industry-specific risks.

Secretariat/Administrative Support

  • Provides logistical support for meetings, documentation, and communications.
  • Manages the scheduling and preparation of committee materials.
  • Tracks action items and progress on risk management initiatives.
