Job Description:
SayPro is looking for a skilled and creative lighting specialist to oversee and execute the monthly indoor and outdoor lighting solutions for January SCMR-13. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining branded lighting solutions across various environments to effectively convey the client’s brand message. These environments may include office spaces, public events, retail outlets, and outdoor settings. The role requires strong communication skills, creativity, technical expertise in lighting design, and a deep understanding of brand marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the client, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Understand the client’s brand, target audience, and messaging goals to ensure the lighting design aligns with brand identity.
- Provide regular updates on lighting design progress, budget adherence, and any challenges faced.
- Actively engage with stakeholders to refine lighting concepts based on feedback and objectives.
2. Lighting Design and Implementation:
- Indoor Lighting:
- Design lighting solutions that reflect the brand’s image in corporate offices, retail environments, and other indoor settings.
- Utilize various lighting styles, such as ambient, task, and accent lighting, to create visually striking yet functional spaces.
- Develop customized lighting concepts using state-of-the-art technologies (LEDs, RGBs, smart lighting).
- Outdoor Lighting:
- Create visually captivating outdoor lighting that highlights architectural features, signage, and landscaping.
- Design lighting for both functional and aesthetic purposes, ensuring safety and security without compromising on brand messaging.
- Employ creative solutions to adjust to seasonal changes, outdoor weather conditions, and available space.
- Select appropriate lighting products that align with SayPro’s sustainability goals and budget parameters.
3. Coordination with SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR:
- Work closely with the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR team to ensure that each lighting design aligns with the overarching marketing campaign and brand guidelines.
- Integrate lighting solutions with existing marketing materials to enhance brand visibility and consistency across all platforms.
- Ensure that all lighting designs are executed with minimal disruption to daily operations and are compliant with all safety regulations.
4. Technical Management and Troubleshooting:
- Manage the installation and setup of lighting systems for both indoor and outdoor locations.
- Troubleshoot lighting issues promptly and ensure that any technical challenges are addressed efficiently to maintain operational continuity.
- Maintain and test lighting equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and longevity.
- Collaborate with electricians, contractors, and technicians as needed for installation and maintenance.
5. Event Lighting Management (If Applicable):
- For events that require lighting setups (product launches, conferences, trade shows), develop unique lighting concepts that enhance the client’s presence and the event’s success.
- Manage the logistics, timing, and setup of temporary lighting systems.
- Ensure all technical aspects of the lighting are synchronized with the event flow and the audience’s experience.
6. Budgeting and Resource Allocation:
- Prepare accurate and timely budgets for lighting projects, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Track and report on expenses related to lighting materials, equipment, and labor.
- Prioritize efficient use of resources without compromising quality and design integrity.
7. Reporting and Documentation:
- Provide detailed reports on lighting design specifications, installation schedules, and post-installation performance.
- Document all lighting setups, maintenance schedules, and client feedback for future reference and continuous improvement.
- Ensure that lighting designs are archived and accessible for potential future use in similar projects.
8. Brand Consistency and Quality Control:
- Ensure that all lighting designs reflect SayPro’s high-quality standards and are consistent with the client’s brand values and aesthetics.
- Regularly review designs for potential improvements and innovations in lighting technology, trends, and techniques to maintain a competitive edge.
9. Innovation and Creativity:
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in lighting technologies, incorporating innovative techniques and sustainable solutions into design projects.
- Experiment with new approaches to lighting to create unique visual experiences that enhance the overall client and customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Lighting Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in lighting design, with a focus on branded or commercial environments.
- Strong portfolio showcasing indoor and outdoor lighting design projects, particularly with branded or marketing-driven objectives.
- Proficiency in lighting design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, etc.) and familiarity with the latest lighting technologies (smart lighting, LEDs, etc.).
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with event lighting and large-scale installations.
- Knowledge of sustainable lighting solutions and energy-efficient designs.
- Familiarity with various lighting control systems and integration with other technologies.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations related to lighting installations.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to travel to various sites for installations and ongoing project management.
- Ability to lift and carry lighting equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in varied physical environments, including both indoor and outdoor settings.
