Position Title: SayPro Monthly Display Employee
Department: Marketing/Visual Merchandising
Reports To: Display Coordinator/Manager
Location: SayPro Office/Designated Display Areas
Job Overview:
Employees involved in the SayPro Monthly Display are responsible for planning, organizing, and executing effective and compliant office displays for the monthly presentation of materials. This includes ensuring all displays are visually appealing, functionally effective, and in full compliance with office safety regulations. The display aims to promote the SayPro Monthly concept and engage employees through informative, creative, and safe visual communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Designing Displays:
- Collaborate with the Display Coordinator/Manager to design monthly displays for SayPro materials, ensuring they align with the theme of the current month and the overall office environment.
- Determine the appropriate size, type, and placement of materials for maximum visibility and aesthetic appeal.
- Utilize available office space efficiently to create an inviting and engaging display that complements the workspace.
- Compliance with Safety and Regulations:
- Ensure all display setups comply with office safety guidelines, including proper placement of materials to avoid obstructions, tripping hazards, or blockages in high-traffic areas.
- Secure materials using safe and effective display methods (e.g., using appropriate mounting hardware, stabilizing stands, or clamps) to prevent accidents or damage to office property.
- Ensure signage, lighting, and other display materials are arranged in a manner that does not interfere with emergency exits, fire safety equipment, or office machinery.
- Maintain an awareness of office regulations regarding display materials (e.g., no flammable items, no overloading surfaces).
- Installation and Maintenance of Displays:
- Install and position displays according to the approved design plan.
- Periodically check the stability and safety of displays throughout the month, adjusting materials as necessary to maintain compliance and visual appeal.
- Ensure that all display components remain in good condition and promptly address any damage or issues (e.g., loose materials, torn signage).
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Coordinate with other departments or team members to ensure the display integrates with ongoing office activities and campaigns (e.g., HR announcements, project updates).
- Maintain regular communication with the Display Coordinator/Manager to report progress, request materials, and discuss any potential challenges or safety concerns.
- Provide feedback on display effectiveness in terms of employee engagement, aesthetics, and impact.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain records of display setups, including photographs, layout diagrams, and a list of materials used.
- Document any safety incidents or near-misses related to displays and report them to the Display Coordinator/Manager for follow-up.
- Provide monthly updates on display performance, employee feedback, and any recommended improvements for future setups.
- Time Management:
- Adhere to the set timelines for setting up and dismantling the displays each month.
- Ensure all displays are set up before the designated date and removed promptly after the end of the monthly display period.
- Environmental Responsibility:
- Promote sustainability by using eco-friendly display materials and recycling or repurposing materials when appropriate.
- Dispose of waste materials in an environmentally responsible manner, adhering to office recycling policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or experience in visual merchandising, design, or marketing preferred.
- Previous experience in display setup or event coordination is an advantage.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Creative problem-solving skills to design displays within safety and space limitations.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, especially in working with cross-departmental teams.
- Basic knowledge of safety standards in office settings.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry display materials up to 25 pounds.
- Standing, bending, and lifting may be required during setup and takedown of displays.
- Comfortable working with ladders or other tools to set up displays at varying heights.
Work Environment:
Employees in this role will primarily work within the office environment, with occasional tasks requiring movement between different office areas or buildings. This position involves physical activity related to the setup and dismantling of displays.
