Purpose of the Role:

As a Consultant at MetGovis, Wynand van der Walt is responsible for providing expert implementation, support, and training services to clients in the municipal property management and land information systems sector. His work supports the effective deployment and use of MetGovis software and ensures alignment with national legislation, technical standards, and client-specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Consulting and Implementation

• Lead or support the implementation of MetGovis solutions in municipalities and related entities.
• Ensure accurate data integration, configuration, and system customization to meet client requirements.
• Collaborate with software developers and GIS specialists to resolve technical issues.

2. Client Engagement and Support

• Engage with municipal officials and project stakeholders to assess needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Provide ongoing client support, including problem resolution and system optimization.
• Offer practical advice based on legislative frameworks, such as the Municipal Property Rates Act.

3. Training and Capacity Building

• Develop and deliver training sessions for municipal staff and users of MetGovis software.
• Provide documentation, manuals, and support materials to enhance user competency.
• Ensure clients are empowered to manage their systems independently over time.

4. Data Management and Reporting

• Conduct data audits, validations, and clean-ups for valuation rolls and spatial databases.
• Generate detailed technical reports, system logs, and implementation documentation.
• Ensure all records are maintained for audit and project tracking purposes.

5. Collaboration and Innovation

• Collaborate across teams to improve the functionality and delivery of MetGovis products.
