Purpose: To guide the development of impactful, brand-aligned infographics that convey complex information with clarity and visual appeal.

1. Purpose and Objectives

Infographics play a key role in SayPro’s communication strategy. They simplify complex data, enhance engagement, and build strong visual connections with audiences. This template serves as a foundational guide for SayPro staff, designers, and collaborators in producing consistent and brand-aligned infographics for internal and public-facing materials.

2. Branding Guidelines

a. Logo Usage

  • Primary Logo: Always include the official SayPro logo in the top-left or bottom-right corner.
  • Size & Spacing: Logo must be clear and not smaller than 2 cm in width. Maintain a minimum clear space around the logo equal to the height of the “S” in SayPro.
  • Monochrome Option: Use white or black versions on colored backgrounds only when necessary.

b. Typography

  • Heading Font: Montserrat Bold (All caps)
  • Subheading Font: Montserrat Medium
  • Body Font: Open Sans Regular
  • Maintain proper hierarchy:
    • H1 – Title (28–36 pt)
    • H2 – Subsection headings (20–24 pt)
    • Body text – 12–14 pt

c. Voice & Tone

  • Use a professional yet friendly tone.
  • Avoid jargon unless necessary for the target audience.
  • Focus on clarity, actionability, and empowerment.

3. Layout Guidelines

a. Orientation

  • Default: Portrait (A4 or A3)
  • Optional: Landscape for dashboard-style visualizations.

b. Structure

A standard SayPro infographic should include:

  1. Header: Title and subtitle
  2. Introduction: A short overview or summary (2–3 sentences)
  3. Main Body: Visual breakdown using:
    • Charts (bar, pie, line)
    • Icons
    • Callout boxes
    • Numbered data points
  4. Conclusion: Summary or call-to-action (CTA)
  5. Footer: Sources, date, and SayPro logo

c. Grid System

  • Use a 12-column grid for flexible layout and consistent spacing.
  • Maintain at least 20px padding between elements.
  • Use alignment and hierarchy to guide the reader’s eye.

Contrast & Accessibility

  • Ensure at least 4.5:1 contrast ratio for text over backgrounds.
  • Use color-blind friendly schemes when presenting data (e.g., color + pattern overlays).

5. Iconography & Imagery

  • Use SayPro’s custom icon set when possible.
  • All icons must be flat design, 2D, and monochromatic unless otherwise stated.
  • Avoid stock photos unless brand-approved.
