SayPro Interview Script Guide
1. Introduction (3–5 minutes)
- Greet and thank the interviewee:
“Hello [Name], thank you for taking the time to speak with me today.” - Introduce yourself and SayPro:
“I’m [Your Name], representing SayPro. We’re conducting interviews to gather insights on [specific theme/project].” - Explain purpose:
“The goal of this interview is to better understand your perspectives and experiences related to [topic].” - Mention confidentiality & consent:
“Your responses will be kept confidential and used to improve our programs. Do you consent to participate and to the interview being recorded?” - Obtain verbal/written consent.
2. Warm-Up Questions (5 minutes)
- “Can you briefly tell me about your role and your work related to [topic]?”
- “How long have you been involved in this field/area?”
3. Core Questions (20–30 minutes)
- Prepare 6–10 open-ended questions aligned with your research objectives.
- Example question types:
- Challenges: “What are the biggest challenges you face regarding [theme]?”
- Opportunities: “Where do you see opportunities for growth or improvement?”
- Impact: “How has [SayPro program/project] influenced your work or community?”
- Future outlook: “What changes would you like to see in the coming years?”
- Use probing questions to dig deeper: “Can you tell me more about that?” or “How did that affect you?”
4. Closing (3–5 minutes)
- “Is there anything else you would like to share on this topic?”
- “Do you have any questions for me about SayPro or the interview process?”
- Thank the interviewee sincerely for their time and insights.
5. Post-Interview
- Review notes and recording promptly.
- Summarize key points and follow-up actions.
- Upload transcripts and summaries to SayPro Interview Archive.
