Job Overview:

The SayPro Monthly Material Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, managing, and procuring materials for SayPro Monthly projects. This role requires close collaboration with vendors to ensure high-quality materials that protect products while enhancing brand perception. The role will require managing budgets, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery while adhering to SayPro’s marketing and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vendor Collaboration & Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with material vendors.
    • Engage in continuous dialogue with vendors to ensure alignment with SayPro’s procurement objectives.
    • Collaborate with vendors on design specifications, quality control standards, and delivery schedules.
    • Regularly evaluate vendor performance and establish performance metrics.
  2. Pricing & Lead Time Negotiations:
    • Negotiate pricing and lead times with vendors to ensure the procurement process meets budgetary requirements.
    • Analyze market trends, vendor pricing, and availability to optimize purchasing decisions.
    • Address issues related to cost optimization and inventory control, ensuring that financial goals and deadlines are met.
    • Keep detailed records of vendor communications and pricing agreements.
  3. Material Selection:
    • Collaborate with the SayPro Brand Material Office under SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR to identify and select durable materials that ensure product safety and enhance brand perception.
    • Conduct research to stay informed on new material options, trends, and industry innovations.
    • Ensure that all chosen materials align with SayPro’s sustainability goals, branding guidelines, and product protection needs.
  4. Budgeting & Scheduling:
    • Work within the allocated budgets for SayPro Monthly projects, ensuring cost-effective material selection.
    • Coordinate with the SayPro Brand Material Office to track the progress of material procurement and stay within project timelines.
    • Monitor material delivery schedules, ensuring timely arrival to avoid project delays.
  5. Quality Control & Compliance:
    • Ensure all materials meet SayPro’s quality standards, including durability and functionality.
    • Perform regular inspections and work with vendors to address any quality-related issues.
    • Verify that all materials comply with relevant regulations, standards, and certifications.
  6. Reporting & Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and organized records of procurement activities, including contracts, negotiations, and delivery documentation.
    • Provide periodic updates to the SayPro Brand Material Office and SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR about the status of material procurement.
    • Prepare detailed reports on cost savings, vendor performance, and any challenges encountered during the procurement process.
  7. Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, design, and logistics to ensure materials align with project needs and timelines.
    • Work closely with the SayPro SCMR team to forecast material needs for future monthly projects and ensure adequate supply.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • At least 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or material management, preferably in a marketing or manufacturing environment.
    • Proven experience negotiating with vendors and managing vendor relationships.
    • Familiarity with supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of material selection, product protection, and brand perception strategies.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
