  1. Purpose
    This policy establishes a framework to ensure equal access to SayPro’s physical environments, digital platforms, resources, and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities and others with access needs. SayPro is committed to promoting inclusion, removing barriers, and fostering a culture of accessibility.

    This policy applies to:
  • All SayPro Human Capital (employees, contractors, interns, volunteers)
  • All SayPro digital and physical facilities
  • SayPro clients, students, and beneficiaries
  • Partners, visitors, and external service providers
  1. Accessibility Principles

3.1 Inclusivity
SayPro strives to create inclusive environments that respect all individuals’ dignity, independence, and equal opportunity.

3.2 Barrier-Free Access
Physical and digital barriers that prevent equal participation are identified and removed where reasonably possible.

3.3 Compliance
SayPro adheres to national and international accessibility standards, including relevant disability legislation and universal design principles.

3.4 Proactive Support
We provide proactive adjustments and accommodations to ensure equitable access.

  1. Roles and Responsibilities

4.1 Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

  • Ensures organizational commitment to accessibility
  • Approves budgets and strategy for accessibility projects

4.2 Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO)

  • Oversees accessibility compliance in hiring, training, and workplace accommodations
  • Ensures HC practices align with inclusive standards

4.3 Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

  • Ensures accessibility of digital systems, websites, and apps
  • Leads implementation of accessible technology solutions

4.4 Royal Directors and Officers

  • Identify and mitigate accessibility issues in their areas
  • Support Human Capital and clients requiring accommodations

4.5 SayPro Human Capital

  • Adhere to accessibility guidelines
  • Request reasonable accommodations as needed
  1. Accessibility Areas

5.1 Physical Accessibility

  • Ensure offices, training centres, and event venues are accessible (ramps, elevators, accessible restrooms, signage)
  • Emergency procedures accommodate people with disabilities

5.2 Digital Accessibility

  • All websites, apps, and platforms follow WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)
  • All digital materials (PDFs, presentations, videos) are screen-reader friendly and captioned where necessary

5.3 Communication Accessibility

  • Materials must be available in accessible formats upon request (e.g., braille, large print, audio)
  • Interpreters or assistive technology (e.g., speech-to-text) provided during events or meetings where needed

5.4 Workplace Accessibility

  • Job descriptions are non-discriminatory
  • Workstations are adapted where required
  • Inclusive onboarding and training for all SayPro Human Capital
  1. Accommodation Request Process

6.1 Initiation

  • Any SayPro HC member, client, or beneficiary may submit a formal Accessibility Accommodation Request Form (SayProF005-01)

6.2 Assessment

  • Accessibility Committee and the CHCO review and assess feasibility within 10 working days

6.3 Implementation

  • Approved accommodations are implemented promptly, with follow-up to ensure effectiveness

6.4 Appeals

  • Denied requests may be appealed to the SayPro Governance Committee within 7 working days

  • Mandatory accessibility training for all Human Capital during onboarding
  • Refresher training annually or when policies are updated
  • Ongoing awareness campaigns, webinars, and workshops to promote accessibility culture

A: Yes. All accommodation requests are confidential and processed in accordance with privacy policies.
