You may have came at the stage where we are still building the Social Work Profession, or we are improving or we have improved.

The SayPro Human Capital Social Worker Management Procedure (SayProP528) establishes guidelines for the recruitment, training, supervision, and ethical responsibilities of social workers within SayPro.
This procedure ensures:
- Effective social work services for individuals, families, and communities.
- Compliance with legal and professional standards in social work practice.
- Support for social workers through structured management and professional development.
It applies to all social workers, supervisors, and related personnel engaged in SayPro’s programs.
2. Scope
This procedure applies to:
- Social workers employed or contracted by SayPro.
- SayPro Interns, volunteers, and support staff working under SayPro’s social work programs.
- Supervisors and managers overseeing social work activities.
- External partners collaborating on SayPro social work initiatives.
Areas covered include:
- Client assessment and case management.
- Crisis intervention and referral services.
- Community outreach and advocacy.
- Professional conduct and compliance.
3. Recruitment and Onboarding of Social Workers
3.1 Selection Criteria
Social workers must:
- Possess a recognized degree in social work.
- Be registered with relevant regulatory bodies (where applicable).
- Demonstrate experience in case management, counseling, and community work.
- Adhere to SayPro’s mission and ethical standards.
3.2 Hiring Process
- Vacancies are advertised on SayPro App. They must apply through SayPro App. All supporting documents must be uploaded on SayPro.
- Candidates undergo screening, interviews, and background checks. If they are referred by Universities they must be interviewed and they can ask their questions
- Successful applicants complete an onboarding program before deployment.
- They must be inducted in line with the SayPro Induction Policy SayProP250
- Read for them the SayPro Events Policy SayProP189 and inform them how SayPro Events work. Remember to let them know if SayPro is still in the early age of Social Work Adoption and development of the Social Work Profession or now SayPro offers full implementation and clients are now offered Social Work on a full time basis
- Read their activities as listed on SayPro Events Policy SayProP189 also inform them if the activities have already been mapped or they will assume the responsibility for mapping them on behalf of SayPro
4. Roles and Responsibilities of Social Workers
4.1 Core Duties
Social workers at SayPro are responsible for:
- Search on SayPro Events activities for Social Worker or activities named SCDR-1
- SayPro University of Johannesburg First Year Social Worker Student Activities
- SayPro University of Johannesburg Second Year Social Worker Student Activities
- SayPro University of Johannesburg Third Year Social Worker Student Activities
- SayPro University of Johannesburg Fourth Year Social Worker Student Activities
- SayPro University of Johannesburg Fifth Year Social Worker Student Activities
- List of SayPro Social Work Activities for the 12 Months
- Assessing client needs and providing social support services.
- Developing individualized intervention plans.
- Conducting home visits, counseling, and follow-ups.
- Referring clients to specialized services where necessary.
- Advocating for vulnerable groups in communities.
- Collaborating with government agencies and non-profits.
- Management of daily SayPro Events and Activities related to Office SCDR-1
4.2 Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain confidential case records.
- Submit periodic reports on client progress.
- Ensure accurate documentation for compliance and monitoring.

- SayPro Social Workers reports to the Official as per SayPro SCDR-1 and the Senior Social Workers as per the regulation
- SayPro Chief Development Officer is the main Accounting Officer for SayPro Social Workers
