Job Overview:
The SayPro Monthly January SCMR-13 initiative focuses on providing high-resolution printing services that ensure visually appealing and professional-grade materials for clients. This role involves preparing print-ready files, selecting appropriate materials, and overseeing the print production process to maintain high-quality output. The Printing & Production Specialist will work under the SayPro Brand Material Office within SayPro Marketing Royalty (SCMR) to achieve these objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepress File Preparation
- Review and prepare all print files for high-resolution output.
- Ensure that all designs meet the technical specifications required for quality printing.
- Perform necessary file adjustments such as color correction, resolution enhancement, and bleed settings.
- Convert files to appropriate formats for various printing methods.
- Maintain consistency in branding across all print materials.
2. Material Selection & Quality Control
- Select the appropriate paper, ink, and finishing materials based on project requirements.
- Ensure all materials align with client expectations and SayPro’s branding standards.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the printing process to identify and correct defects.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the procurement of high-quality printing materials.
3. Print Production Management
- Oversee the entire printing process, from initial setup to final output.
- Collaborate with designers and print operators to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Troubleshoot printing errors and recommend solutions for improved output.
- Ensure timely delivery of printed materials to clients.
4. Post-Production Finishing & Delivery
- Manage finishing processes such as cutting, binding, laminating, and embossing.
- Ensure printed materials are correctly packaged and stored for distribution.
- Work with the logistics team to arrange efficient delivery schedules.
- Maintain an organized archive of past print projects for future reference.
5. Compliance & Reporting
- Adhere to SayPro’s quality control guidelines and corporate branding policies.
- Document and report production progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Continuously seek improvements in printing techniques and technology.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in prepress file preparation and print production management.
- Proficiency in design and printing software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW.
- Strong knowledge of color management, print file formats, and printing processes.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Graphic Design, Print Production, or a related field.
- Experience working in a high-volume printing environment.
- Familiarity with SayPro’s branding and marketing materials.
