Job Overview: SayPro is seeking a dedicated and innovative professional to lead the design, development, and execution of branded indoor and outdoor lighting solutions for diverse environments, as part of the SayPro Monthly Indoor and Outdoor Lighting initiative for January SCMR-13. The role focuses on energy-efficient and sustainable lighting design, ensuring that all projects meet high environmental standards and align with SayPro’s brand identity and marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Branded Lighting Solutions:
   • Develop creative and functional lighting designs tailored to indoor and outdoor environments, keeping in mind the unique needs of each setting (residential, commercial, public spaces, etc.).
   • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate lighting designs into the overall brand identity and marketing strategy, ensuring consistency and alignment with SayPro’s image.
2. Energy Efficiency and Sustainability:
   • Prioritize sustainability by researching and recommending eco-friendly lighting materials and energy-efficient solutions.
   • Analyze lighting systems for energy consumption, proposing and implementing measures to reduce energy use while maintaining aesthetic and functional quality.
   • Ensure designs comply with environmental regulations and standards, and contribute to SayPro’s commitment to sustainability and green initiatives.
3. Material and Product Selection:
   • Identify and source high-quality, durable, and sustainable materials that meet both design and environmental standards for both indoor and outdoor lighting.
   • Work with suppliers to procure lighting materials and fixtures that fit the project specifications, budget, and timeline.
   • Ensure materials selected are in line with SayPro’s marketing strategies and branding guidelines.
4. Technical Specifications and Installation Planning:
   • Develop detailed technical specifications for lighting projects, ensuring that designs are feasible, functional, and safe for installation in various environments.
   • Oversee the preparation of installation plans, ensuring proper placement, wiring, and power considerations.
   • Coordinate with contractors and installation teams to ensure that lighting installations adhere to project timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Work closely with marketing, product development, and project management teams to align lighting designs with broader marketing campaigns and product offerings.
   • Regularly communicate with clients and stakeholders to gather feedback, make adjustments, and ensure satisfaction with the lighting solutions provided.
   • Participate in internal meetings and brainstorming sessions to explore new trends and innovative approaches to lighting design.
6. Quality Control and Project Management:

   • Maintain thorough documentation of all lighting designs, specifications, and project plans for future reference and audits.
   • Prepare monthly reports on the progress of ongoing lighting projects, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
   • Present reports and results to senior management, providing insights into energy savings, environmental impact, and design effectiveness.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Proven experience in designing and managing indoor and outdoor lighting projects, with a strong focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Familiarity with the latest lighting technologies, eco-friendly materials, and sustainable design practices.
• Strong understanding of lighting principles, including color temperature, light distribution, and energy consumption.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.
• Excellent project management skills, including budget management, timeline planning, and vendor coordination.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
• Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to lighting design and installation.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for design aesthetics.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in energy-efficient lighting design or related sustainability certification.
