Job Overview:

The SayPro Monthly Indoor and Outdoor Lighting (SCMR-13) position is responsible for managing, designing, and executing monthly lighting solutions for both indoor and outdoor environments, following the SayPro Brand’s standards and aesthetic. This role involves overseeing project timelines, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring that each lighting project is implemented efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with the SayPro Brand Material Office’s requirements and expectations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, design, and installation of branded lighting systems, with an emphasis on both creativity and technical knowledge. They will also be a proactive communicator, able to manage multiple stakeholders and keep track of progress to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management and Reporting:

  • Oversee all aspects of the SayPro Monthly Indoor and Outdoor Lighting (SCMR-13) project.
  • Ensure that project documentation, including design plans, schedules, and budgets, is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Track project progress and performance metrics, ensuring deadlines and quality benchmarks are consistently met.
  • Report on project status, risks, and achievements to the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR Manager.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, ensuring coordination across all teams and departments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related queries and concerns.

2. Lighting Design and Implementation:

  • Design creative and branded lighting solutions for both indoor and outdoor spaces, ensuring that all designs are aligned with the SayPro brand’s standards.
  • Collaborate with the SayPro Brand Material Office to refine and adjust lighting designs, ensuring they meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Research and source new lighting technologies, materials, and trends to incorporate into designs.
  • Create mood boards, lighting layouts, and detailed plans for the installation and maintenance of lighting systems.
  • Manage and supervise the installation of lighting designs, ensuring they adhere to technical specifications and quality standards.

3. Budgeting and Cost Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that lighting designs are cost-effective without compromising on quality.
  • Track project expenditures and provide regular updates on budget status.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to secure the best rates and deals for lighting equipment and materials.

4. Team Coordination and Stakeholder Management:

  • Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, design, operations) to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
  • Work with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to source materials, equipment, and services for lighting solutions.
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders to present design proposals, gather feedback, and implement changes as needed.
  • Ensure smooth communication between all teams involved in the project, managing expectations and facilitating problem-solving when necessary.

5. Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Conduct quality assurance checks on all lighting systems to ensure they meet the SayPro brand’s standards and the client’s expectations.
  • Ensure that all lighting designs comply with relevant safety standards, local regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Perform site inspections to verify the successful implementation of the lighting design, making adjustments as necessary.

6. Post-Installation Support and Reporting:

  • Oversee the ongoing maintenance of lighting systems, ensuring they continue to operate effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide detailed post-installation reports, documenting any issues, resolutions, and maintenance schedules.
  • Collect feedback from stakeholders and clients to assess the success of the lighting design and identify areas for improvement in future projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Lighting Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in lighting design and project management, particularly for indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Strong knowledge of lighting technologies, design software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar), and the latest industry trends.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budgets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost management, and negotiation with suppliers and contractors.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems on-site.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Preferred:

  • Certification or training in lighting design (e.g., IALD, LC).
  • Experience working with outdoor lighting solutions and outdoor electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices in lighting design and implementation.
