Rating Scale:

Each skill is rated on a scale from 1 to 5:

  • 4 (Very Good): Exceeds expectations, performs well in this area.

How to Use This Template:

  1. Assess Individual Skills: Instructors should evaluate each student in the specified soft skills based on their performance, classroom participation, assignments, and projects.
  2. Provide Ratings: Using the 1-5 scale, instructors can assign a rating to each of the key soft skills. If a skill is not applicable, a “N/A” can be used.
  3. Offer Feedback: Based on the ratings, instructors should provide constructive feedback in the “Feedback & Recommendations” column. This helps students understand their strengths and areas where they need improvement.
  4. Track Progress: This template can be used across multiple periods (e.g., quarterly) to track the progress of students in developing their soft skills.
  5. Monitor Trends: By recording this data over time, you can identify trends in individual skill development and make adjustments to instructional strategies as needed.
