This research is to be completed by January 5, 2025, under the SayPro Monthly January SCMR initiative.

1. Research Packaging Materials (Due: January 5, 2025)

  • Objective: Identify and evaluate materials for packaging that ensure durability, protection during shipping, and enhance product presentation.
  • Actions:
    • Review different types of packaging materials such as cardboard, corrugated boxes, bubble wrap, foam, and sustainable options (recycled materials, biodegradable packaging).
    • Evaluate material strength, resistance to environmental factors (e.g., moisture, temperature), and protective qualities.
    • Assess eco-friendly packaging options to align with sustainability goals.
    • Research material costs and supplier availability.
    • Compile a list of recommended packaging materials that suit SayPro’s brand and product line.

2. Research Product Components (Due: January 5, 2025)

  • Objective: Identify suitable materials for product components, ensuring product durability, quality, and safety.
  • Actions:
    • Research different materials such as plastics, metals, wood, or biodegradable alternatives, depending on the nature of the product.
    • Assess the impact of materials on product functionality, quality, and aesthetics.
    • Consider factors like ease of manufacturing, cost efficiency, and durability.
    • Investigate regulatory compliance regarding materials used in products.
    • Compile a list of potential materials with pros and cons.

3. Research Promotional Materials (Due: January 5, 2025)

  • Objective: Identify materials for creating promotional items (brochures, flyers, posters, etc.) that align with brand messaging and customer experience.
  • Actions:
    • Research materials for print (paper quality, finishes, textures) and digital formats (e.g., web banners, emails).

Expected Outcome:

By January 5, 2025, research will be complete, and a clear set of material recommendations for packaging, product components, and promotional materials will be ready. Additionally, a vendor list will be compiled for further steps in sourcing and procurement. All materials will align with SayPro’s brand perception and durability requirements.
