What Are Tags in SayPro Tags?

Tags are keywords you can assign to a product to describe it in more detail and improve searchability. While categories are broader groupings (like “Clothing” or “Electronics”), tags are more specific (like “cotton”, “handmade”, “waterproof”, etc.).


Step-by-Step: How to Add Tags as a Vendor in SayPro

Step 1: Log in to SayPro Vendor Dashboard

  • Log into your vendor account.
  • Access the SayPro Vendor Dashboard.

Step 2: Go to “SayPro Products” > “Add New”

  • Click “Products” in the left menu.
  • Click “Add New Product”.

Step 3: Scroll to “SayPro Tags” Field

  • In the product creation form, scroll down until you see Tags.
  • You’ll usually find it below the Product Categories section.

Step 4: Add SayPro Tags

  • In the Tags field:
    • Type a keyword like: handmade, eco-friendly, vegan, etc.
    • Press Enter after each tag to add it.
    • You can add multiple tags.

Step 5: Complete SayPro Product Setup & Publish

  • Fill in the remaining details (price, image, description).
  • Click “Create Product” or “Publish”.

Where Do SayPro Tags Show Up?

  • On the SayPro product page, under the product title or near the description.
  • They help customers search and filter products more easily.
  • Tags are clickable and link to other products using the same tag.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how a SayPro vendor/seller can assign product categories in a SayPro Marketplace Vendor. This assumes categories are already created by the SayPro Administrators.

Step-by-Step: Add your SayPro Products to Categories as a SayPro Vendor in SayPro Marketplace

Step 1: Log in to Your SayPro Vendor Dashboard

  • Go to your site’s login page
  • Log in with your SayPro vendor account
  • You’ll be redirected to the SayPro Vendor Dashboard

Step 2: Go to SayPro Products Section

  • In the left sidebar, click “Products”
  • You’ll see a list of your current products (if any)

Step 3: Add a New Product

  • Click the “Add New Product” button (top right corner)

Step 4: Fill Out Basic Product Info

  • Enter the Product Name
  • Add a Product Description
  • Upload a Product Image

Step 5: Select SayPro Product Category

  • Scroll to the “Product Category” section
  • You’ll see a list of categories created by the admin
  • Tick the checkbox next to the appropriate category (you can select more than one if allowed)

Step 6: (Optional) Add SayPro Tags

  • In the Tags field, type in keywords that describe your product
  • Press Enter after each tag

Step 7: Set SayPro Price and Other SayPro Details

  • Add the Price, Stock Status, SKU, etc.
  • Choose whether it’s a simple product or variable product

Step 8: Publish Your SayPro Product

  • Once everything is filled out, click the “Create Product” or “Publish” button

Step 9: Verify SayPro Product is Listed

  • Go back to Products
  • Make sure the product is listed under the right category
  • You can view it on your store page or shop page

Optional: Assign SayPro Store Category

  • Go to SayPro Vendor Dashboard > Settings > Store
  • Look for a dropdown called “Store Category”
  • Choose the appropriate one (this categorizes your entire store)
